ROUND VALLEY OFFICE BUILDING

This speculative office building was developed in an effort to revitalize a commercial district. The straightforward solution allows for the storage of the owner’s automobile collection separated by a masonry wall from the income generating tenant space at the front of the building. The pre-engineered steel structural system is expressed on both the exterior and interior of the building. The aluminum storefront allows for both spaces to be lit naturally and is shielded from direct sunlight by the large overhangs of the standing seam Galvalume roof. The simple rectangular form is clad in structural clay tile which refers back to an earlier development period of the area. Interior materials include sealed concrete floors, stainless steel and rubber, which recognize the building’s automotive agenda.
